About Me: Lorena Hoormann (she/her)

„I am a passionate coach, trainer, facilitator, and business consultant in Vienna. My mission is to help individuals and businesses discover and live out their diverse self-efficacy. You've come to the right place if you want more than just „fitting“ professional and corporate worlds. Especially if you also want to make a difference in society, then you are my ideal client (individually and collectively).“

„And when you think it can't get any worse, Lorena comes along.“

Mission: To shape a future that is worth living, equitable in opportunity, and sustainable, to open up new possibilities, and to bring more self-efficacy into the world.

I am firmly convinced...

  • ... that even difficult topics can be handled easily, and even be fun.
  • ... that even complex issues deserve straightforward, direct solutions.
  • ...that it's worth cooperating because the greatest successes are achieved through it.
  • ... that we all draw from an immensely greater potential when we live diversity, equal opportunities, climate justice, and participation in our companies.
  • ...that wherever we consider the well-being of everyone in society and the environment, life and work become more livable and successful.
  • ... that for companies and communities, promoting health is a strategically brilliant move in the long term, because it also makes difficult times easier.

Being in conversation with Lorena always means: encounter, resonance, and dialogue, both with her and with oneself, a shared exploration, thereby experiencing surprises, gaining clarity, and feeling encouraged.

What few people know about me…

  • After school, I lived and worked for 6 months on a horse breeding farm in Spain. In addition to daily stable work, I cared for horses, assisted with castrations, helped with foaling, milked goats and made cheese, led the stallion for natural cover, and even had the opportunity to break in a three-year-old.
  • I am a musician: flute, some guitar, vocals, but especially percussion, specifically Samba Batucada. In the summer, I tour Europe on weekends for shows, festivals, and workshops. I also dance Samba no Pé, which is what you see with lots of glitter and feathers at Carnival in Rio de Janeiro.
  • Thanks to my vocal range of 3 octaves, I sang tenor in the upper school choir for Carmina Burana. It was so awesome that the echo still resonates in my head today: „there there there he rode resonates.
  • One of my passions is „pareidolia,“ the phenomenon of seeing faces in things and patterns, which many people know from cloud gazing. Every day, I'm delighted by the surprising and always cheerful sights. Smile moments.
  • Although I have been living in Vienna for 12 years, I am actually a native of Bremen. And I also speak a little „Plattdeutsch“ (Low German). Some may know the melody of the language from Werner Films or from Ohnsorg Theatre. Oh, how we laughed, how we cheered, how we ate pancakes! Butter cakeen eaten!)
  • In 2016, I took a brilliant solo motorcycle road trip. A 22-day trip in total, with 19 days on the road, through 9 countries (Austria, Germany, Netherlands, England, Scotland, Belgium, Luxembourg, France, Saarland), and 21 nights in 13 cities. A total of 5500 km. The many wonderful encounters and breathtaking experiences made this trip perfect, including a visit home and a samba weekend.
