The coronavirus pandemic has demanded a lot from everyone without exception.Individuals, companies, corporations. A completely new context led to the Nthe necessity of having to change a lot – in part radically. With the changes, new possibilities emerged, and an energy that made much of what had previously seemed unchangeable, set in motion hat. But who wants change? Here's a guide on how your company can let this energy dissipate as quickly as possible.
In any case, bring all employees back to the office!
Now that everything is open again, you can't trust people to work anymore. They'll all be guaranteed to just sit in cafes, meet friends, go to parties, and not choose to work. So quickly, quickly, everyone back into the four walls of the company. Presence is all that matters.
2. Trust no one!
After all employees have returned to their usual workplaces, it will finally be possible to control again how well and what is really being worked on. Quickly catch up on what was impossible to control during the pandemic! Best of all, immediately start with surveillance videos and minute-by-minute follow-up, trust no one!
Focus exclusively on equality of conditions!
No matter what they do, just don't cater to people's individual needs. It's far too exhausting, after all, your employees are there to serve you and should figure out how to manage on their own. What would happen if everyone came and went as they pleased, just because they have a family.
Eradicate all forms of individual approaches!
There's always only one right way! Of course, so suppress any innovation and dictate exactly how problems should be solved. Self-organization skills ultimately only lead to loss of control.
5. Ignore the recent changes!
After it worked so great to send everyone into home office without needing any support, it works the same way in reverse. So, everyone back into the office, that works. After all, that's the norm, not the pandemic situation. Who needs support for that? The employees will handle it. It worked before, too.
6. Re-establish the old hierarchies more rigidly than ever before!
Not so that an expert organization emerges here; control requires hierarchy, that creates security and reduces risks. Employees execute, managers think. This way and no other. Block any self-responsible action by your employees.
In any case, demand work even when sick!
How convenient that presenteeism has already taken hold, working from home with a sniffle was easy, so please the same in the office. I mean, where are we heading if we only work when we feel completely healthy?
8. Do not use your newly acquired competencies under any circumstances!
Honestly, that's enough with all the video conferencing tools, and who really needs all this fussy hygiene and constant looking out for each other? It all costs too much, so scrap all licenses immediately and issue regulations. Better yet, just pretend none of this was ever part of work!
9. Catch up on everything you missed immediately!
For 3 years, there have hardly been any events, exams, team-building activities, or training courses. These need to be made up! The year has 12 months, 6 of which are warmer, so no more summer holidays from now on. Time must be used efficiently, the to-do list must be completed!
10. Banish online meetings! Business trips ahoy!
We're all annoyed by constantly sitting in online meetings. So, back to square one, especially for meetings in faraway countries. After all, it's a fine thing, new countries, hotels, good amenities. Who believes in the climate crisis anyway, travel is the new feeling of freedom!
11. Make sure everyone always huddles closely together!
That was exhausting. Fewer people in a room, plexiglass partitions, controlled entry, and tedious appointment scheduling. Who needs that? Things worked just fine without it, so: Immediately drop all safety precautions and use every available corner for a workspace. Then, there will be less heating needed in the winter.
